I have gone through these links several times over, but still cannot find the Reason why the Protool option was removed from WinCC Flexible SP3 If Bit OS was a problem, they could easily have disabled this option for installation in 64 bit OS, however it could have remained available if installed in 32 bit OS. The least Siemens can do is to provide the tool as an optional add on for 32 bit installations or as a stand alone tool Contrary to what what many believe, there are still huge no of machines with Protool based HMIs running, and many of them come up for upgradation every day.
I hope that someone is listening Hope this helps Cheers Navnag. The reason is as told before. Protool option removed because it can not operated on 64bit MS Windows. And they can not make only one version with Protool Option and tell you that it won't work on 64 bit MS Windows.
